Training a Young Pro: My Work with Anjali, a Professional Footballer at Cádiz CF
Over the past three years, I had the privilege of working with Anjali, an exceptional young footballer who now plays professionally for Cádiz CF. Our journey together began when she was just 16, focusing on corrective exercises, injury prevention, and recovery strategies to enhance her performance and keep her at the top of her game.
Our sessions, held three times a week, combined various elements essential for a high-level athlete:
• Corrective exercises to address muscle imbalances and improve movement efficiency.
• Injury prevention protocols to strengthen joints and prevent common football-related issues.
• Foam rolling techniques for myofascial release, reducing muscle stiffness and improving flexibility.
• Core activation exercises to build stability and power for explosive movements.
• Balance and coordination drills to refine agility and control on the pitch.
• Massage therapy to relieve tension, promote circulation, and support faster recovery.
